As a family-owned business we have continued our philosophy of reinvesting to increase our capabilities.
Nowhere is this more evident than in our Colchester based workshop, where we continually focus on improvements to deliver the highest standards.
See what you think in this video…
Looking over the video, there will be various equipment you recognise, and maybe some you don’t.
This is an overview of some of the equipment we currently have to support our work scopes:
One of our specialist areas is providing solutions for our clients reliant on diesel engines that are no longer supported by the original manufacturer due to their age.
Replacing these older diesel engines can be a real challenge considering accessibility, performance differences, modifications to systems, as well as costs and is rarely a viable option.
As an alternative, we have invested in our own in-house diesel engineering design and manufacturing team who use CAD systems linked to our own CNC machines alongside approved sub-contractors (most of who were involved in the original production of these parts).
This gives us increased versatility to be able to provide you with solutions.
The workshop is designed around the requirements for carrying out full engine, or assembly overhauls, whether that is turbochargers, governors, cylinder heads, or complete sets.
With separate workstations and dedicated clean areas for higher precision assemblies, the workshop can accommodate overhaul work scopes for a huge variety of engines.

“Bartech’s work ethic permeates through the organization, from Rob Lee the Bartech Project & Commercial Manager through to the technicians overhauling, testing, installing and commissioning the engines.
The communication is exactly what we expect from a supplier of products and services delivered to us here at Hartlepool PowerStation from weekly updates to overhaul documentation showing exactly where they are in the sequence of work.
It is excellent to see and sets a standard most do not achieve.”
“When a fault was found with the water cooler adaptor plate, a new part was sourced and sent out to the platform the following day. This meant the crane could be returned to service as planned and therefore no downtime experienced.”
“The technical knowledge and speed of sourcing the required part. The platform also commented positively on the work ethic of the engineer on the job.”
“Thank you.
The site report and the overhaul at site have been conducted to a high standard.
Well done.”
“Bartech helped maintain & achieve our recovery plan in a safe manner & also implementing the improvements required to prevent similar incidents.
They were very adaptable to our urgent requirements and used all of their resources possible to expedite the safe return of P-7230 fire water pump.
Bartech exceeded our expectations during this intervention.”
“We were impressed with the standard of communication throughout the work scope and having a dedicated project manager was invaluable.
Bartech’s engineering capabilities, along with the communication and overall management of the job were faultless.”
“A genuine open and honest customer focused approach.
A willingness to evolve and support ongoing learning (both ways) when things may not quite go as planned or expected. Whilst the whole Bartech team are focused and engaged Rob Lee has proved to be a pivotal contact point for EDF addressing and resolving concerns that may arise.”
