The objective of our 3 Year Warranty & Service Agreements is to look after your critical equipment, maximising performance and uptime, with minimal disruption to you or your assets.

Typically, this includes:

  • Being there when you need us with 24/7 support
  • Confidence in the levels of service with OEM-trained engineers
  • Relationships with dedicated points of contact
  • Trust with our breakdown response team
  • Full visibility with scheduled planned maintenance
  • The benefit of our extensive spares support

As well as

  • Peace of mind with agreed costs for budget planning
  • Convenience with in-house or on-site overhauls

All sectors covered

We currently have Long Term Service agreements in place with several clients in the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Locomotive and Marine sectors, covering more than 192 critical diesel engines and as well as the normal offerings, these operators have also benefited from the following additional services:

Ownership with single point of contact approach

Bartech will be the first and last point of contact for any issues with your assets to ensure the job is seen through to resolution efficiently.

This complete package support with service partnerships is a great benefit to you as we work with other specialists to offer the complete package for you critical diesel engines, for example, we have provided complete generator sets including control packages and have also teamed up with Quartzelec to take on electrical work, saving Centrica time and money on one of their work-scopes.

We will provide integrated planning, reducing costs and timescale, a fully integrated plan across disciplines, combined tooling & parts delivery (with our extensive parts network, we can ensure spares are on hand when required, all with a 12-month warranty), one daily site report and final report ensuring quicker solutions with open communication between different experts, providing you with full documentation on planning, reports and testing.

Agreed costs

With the LTSA in place, you will know the engineer rates for the length of the agreement and to help further with budgets and cost controls we can also include standard overhaul prices and fix parts prices.

This can then be extended into an agreed a monthly fee covering all this support but at a fixed cost.

Reviewed maintenance plans

We will review your current maintenance plans to ensure they are efficient, and nothing is overlooked, meaning the best performance, safety and reliability for your assets. This can reduce time and costs for you.

During the initial review, we can also assess improvements in other areas, such as:

  • Fuel pipes – Bespoke double skinned fuel pipes to ensure you are SOLAS compliant or if the current set require replacement due to a fault
  • Pre-Heat systems – If you are missing this functionality, but would benefit from it we can retro-fit a preheat system to your engine, providing you with quicker engine response and fewer failed engine starts
  • Bespoke gauge panels – Depending on your current monitoring capabilities, we can re-position, adapt or create new bespoke gauge panels for your engines to facilitate effective monitoring, essential in preventing critical issues
  • DEUP – Diesel Engine Uptime Programme accessibility goes hand in hand with gauge panels to enable us to monitor your assets and work with you to reduce any downtime

In-house or on-site overhauls

Depending on the installation, it can be beneficial to carry out overhauls in our fully equipped workshop or on-site. Whichever option is taken, all overhauls come with reports and test documents to OEM specifications.

To reduce downtime, swing sets can be a very effective option, whether it is for major assemblies or the engine as a complete unit and something that can be incorporated into an LTSA.

More information on our overhaul services can be found here.

Equipment Re-engineering

Instead of replacement, some components can be re-engineered & improved using our in-house team, which allows support of scarce spares, the design out of faults and reduced lead times.

Having worked with major operators we understand the need for full management of change documentation and will provide all information needed for this.

Applying our passion for mechanical excellence with the latest technology and processes allows us to give you an outcome you would not get elsewhere.
