BARTECH LOCKS IN REDUCED RATE FOR THREE YEARS

British Energy Company Awards Maintenance Contract For Offshore Diesel Engines To Engineering Specialists, Locking In Low Prices Until 2018

British diesel engineering specialists, Bartech, have today announced a brand new three-year maintenance contract with Fairfield Energy, with Bartech providing support in this regard for Fairfield’s fire pump and emergency generator engines until the end of 2018.

The discussion between the two companies began following Bartech’s decision to reduce their rates for 2016, in light of the continually falling oil prices and general uncertainty within the oil industry as a whole.

Fairfield Energy subsequently approached Bartech with the specific agenda of locking in their reduced rates for the next three years.

The two companies have worked together extensively in the past with Bartech servicing Fairfield as part of numerous projects, including the supply and installation of replacement engines, upgrading old technology and completing routine health checks.

One particular piece of work between the two involved Bartech sourcing, overhauling and converting a replacement engine, which as a one-off job saved Fairfield several hundred thousand pounds, such that Fairfield has once again put their trust in Bartech to deliver over the next three years.

Following the project, Fairfield Energy’s Technical Authority, Bryan Bain, acknowledged the support from Bartech:

“They have a very, very professional team. We get realistic timescales and they meet them, realistic budgets, and they meet them and it’s been very, very good”

Bartech’s managing director, Paul Bleck, was delighted with the contract announcement:

“We’re delighted to announce this contract with Fairfield Energy. Over the years we’ve worked hard to help Fairfield reach their goals, and this contract highlights both companies’ desire to work together.

From Fairfield’s point of view, this arrangement allows them to enjoy fixed, low prices in what is a pretty turbulent market at present whilst still tapping into the expertise that we provide. For us, it’s great that a company is keen to commit to working with us for three years, and as we enjoy working with businesses on a long term basis to help them get where they want to be, the contract will allow us to maximise the value that we’re adding to Fairfield”
