In a change from our usual posts, we wanted to take a moment to share our recent experience with one of our key suppliers, as we believe it’s important to keep you informed about our efforts to provide the best service possible.
Following on from a free survey at an NHS site to look at their back-up generator, we established that a new cooling pressure control switch was required.
We left them with a temporary fix, should the need for the generator arise before we returned to replace the switch and set about ordering the required parts.
This is where we hit a stumbling block. In our interactions with the well known pressure switch supplier, we encountered some significant challenges during the ordering process.
We faced a series of difficulties, including being asked numerous detailed questions before being provided with a manual to identify the components required in order for us to then ascertain the relevant part number.
Despite our best efforts with the manual and providing the part number that covered exactly what we needed, we were informed that the item we had finally selected was incorrect!
What concerned us the most was the apparent reluctance from them to take responsibility for guiding us in finding the right product.
We understand the importance of precision, but it felt as though we were left to fend for ourselves when seeking support and clarification.
This experience was frustrating, but it made me wonder – are there any pain points you have felt when contacting Bartech for assistance?
