As you’d expect, we do a lot of work up in Aberdeen – it’s the reason we opened our second workshop there.
Recently, however, as our ABZ engineers were already committed to assignments for other operators, field engineer Chris believed he would be heading there in response to a client’s request for engineering expertise in that location.
No sooner had Chris got on the flight though, he discovered the job had been cancelled, but that there was a possibility of a different task requiring his expertise, this time in Holland.
He remained on the flight, landed in Aberdeen and headed to the hotel in Dyce to await further instructions.
The next day, he headed to Holland, jumped straight into action and diagnosed a fault on a Caterpillar engine that had left the previous vendor scratching their heads.
He stayed with the client, providing hour-by-hour technical support and advising and sourcing an ECU.
24 hours earlier, he’d expected to be in bonny Scotland, working on something completely different, and here he was in Holland.
It’s not an especially unusual story for Bartech, as our engineers are here, there and everywhere, but it does highlight something important:
We will do what it takes to get the job done. If you need us, call us and we’ll get there; it’s as simple as that.
