Bartech seeks new premises for 2011

Rapid expansion in 2011, and throughout the last five years, means Bartech Marine is looking for a new 25,000ft2 property in the Colchester area – and recruiting three new members of staff.

Gerald Barnett, Managing Director, explains: “We’ve had a very successful few years, bucking the recessionary trend by providing quality work. We take a longer term, more sustainable approach than many companies in our industry, and focus on giving the best possible value. We try to upgrade and modify vessels to prolong their working lives, where some of our competitors would turn work down and see vessels sent for scrap.”

In the last few years, Bartech has already invested in a purpose-built head office, which includes a fully equipped workshop, dedicated governor bay, test facilities and state-of-the-art machine shop. As a result of this success, we are now looking for a second site, and are also looking to employ a new Workshop / Service Engineer and a new Key Account Manager.
